The Five Empires is as described, the period in which each continent, Krieh, Mehm, Flumeri, Chmairah, and Roomir, formed separate, independant, empires. It was during this time that the Shabenay went from some 20 million strong down to hardly 2 thousand in world-wide population. By 451 FE the Shabenay were declared extinct by the Empires, around 674 FE the Shabenay were established as myth. The Empires actually started dissolving around 790 FE, but the age wasn't officially declared over until the Tynomai revamped their government completely.
