The fifth drawing in my "concentration" for Life Drawing II. We had to create a body of work that was united in some way, I chose to explore the expressive line work that started out as idle doodling and developed it further. My secondary concentration in this series was hands and feet, mostly because they were more interesting to render in this style. The viewer might note that the texture of the paper varies, I used several types of watercolor paper, mostly to try them out. This, I believe, was hot press, thus the smooth texture. The rougher looking papers are cold press. Ink and wash on watercolor paper approx. 15" x 20". |
